About this show
Presenting a distinctive evening pairing solo piano and poetry, exploring sound and language together. Performances from Book II of Claude Debussy’s Preludes alternate with poetry readings curated by the RCAH Center for Poetry, creating space for reflection between music and verse. Featuring pianist Stanislav Khristenko, joined by students from his studio, the program brings Debussy’s richly atmospheric music into dialogue with spoken word, inviting audiences to experience how sound and text resonate, contrast, and complement one another. To request a free ticket for a child 18 and under, please contact the College of Music Box Office at 517-353-5340 or music.MainOffice@msu.edu, and your ticket will be available at Will Call.
