Known for their lofi indie aesthetic and melancholic tone, the project has carved out a unique and dedicated space in the underground scene while garnering the attention of editors across the industry. Gawshock: Gawshock is the solo project of Huntsville, Alabama songwriter David Broome. What began in 2021 as a bedroom recording outlet has evolved into a fully realized indie rock project built around intimate songwriting, textured guitars, and warm lo-fi production. Drawing comparisons to artists like Yo La Tengo and Sparklehorse, Gawshock blends close-up vulnerability with expansive arrangements that balance melancholy, curiosity, and quiet optimism. Herr God: Herr God is a Portland-based band featuring Chloe (California), Jack (Washington), and Benny (Montana). Rooted in slowcore and increasingly shaped by folk influences, the trio blends intimate songwriting with gritty, textured arrangements that pair folk warmth with a rough-edged, unpolished energy.
