Philly's favorite freak and friend needs some help! For those who don't know, Carolyn has been an integral part of the philly music scene for years now. From hosting shows on WKDU, running and booking shows at various DIY venues, working for R5, and playing in a multitude of incredible bands, she has become a vital part of everything it is we do here. And after years of helping all of us, she needs a little help in return. A few months ago, Carolyn was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. This has obviously led to a ton of upheaval in her life. Her normal jobs - tour managing, playing in bands, working at bars, running shows - all had to be put completely on hold. She has been toughing it out through chemo, but the expenses are piling up and she still has surgery, radiation, and months of treatment left. So we've set this show up to help her out. Some of the bands she's played in (Mannequin Pussy, Cult Objects) and some of them she just loves (Dark Thoughts, Commitment, KulfiGirls.) All proceeds will be going to Carolyn, to go towards living expenses, medical expenses, income replacement, and the many many expenses that pop up during cancer treatment.
