The Jaipur Literature Festival — held annually in the historic Pink City of Jaipur, Rajasthan — is celebrated worldwide as the "greatest literary show on Earth." Founded in 2006, JLF has grown into a global phenomenon with satellite festivals on four continents, including five across the United States. Now in its third year, JLF North Carolina returns with one of its most exciting lineups yet. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Vijay Seshadri and Booker Prize-longlisted novelist and mathematician Manil Suri headline alongside Karan Mahajan, whose new novel The Complex is a New York Times Editors' Choice and a New Yorker Best Book of the Year. Neurologist and PEN Award-winning author Pria Anand brings her celebrated debut The Mind Electric to the stage, joined by James Beard Award-nominated chef Cheetie Kumar — part of a growing lineup that spans literature, history, science, food, and poetry, with more writers and poets still to be announced. The festival spans two iconic venues: the beautiful campus of Meredith College in Raleigh (September 11–12) and NC State's James B. Hunt Jr. Library (September 13). Events on September 13 are free but require a ticket. Don't miss it.
