Featuring Erin Lano, Richard Strauss’s Horn Concerto No. 1 dazzles with virtuosic brilliance, showcasing the horn’s heroic character and lyrical warmth in a work filled with youthful energy and sweeping melodies. In contrast, Brahms’s Serenade No. 2 offers a richly textured and intimate sound world, creating a warm, mellow palette and its graceful movements unfolding with elegance and depth.
